Not every hat with a logo is an embroidered snapback. Some are heat transfers. Some are flat prints dressed up in product photos. Some use “3D” as a marketing word when the stitching barely rises off the fabric.
We’re Brim Brothers Hats — two brothers (California and Texas), crew name Los Brim Bros, mark B◆B. We build Latino streetwear and we don’t cut corners on the part you touch every time you pick the hat up: the embroidery. This guide shows you what to look for, then connects it to the real pieces in our shop.
Embroidered snapback vs print — the 10-second test
Hold the front panel. Run a finger across the logo.
- Print / transfer — feels smooth or plasticky; edges can crack over time.
- Flat embroidery — you feel stitches, but the design sits close to the fabric.
- 3D / raised embroidery — the design has height; shadows show in good light; your fingertip catches the edges.
A real embroidered snapback should pass the finger test and the close-up photo test. If the only impressive view is a heavily edited flat lay, be careful.
Nota: En la calle se nota rápido — el bordado 3D tiene sombra y textura. El print barato se ve “pegado.”
What 3D puff embroidery should actually mean
When we say 3D puff embroidery on a Brim Brothers hat, we mean raised, dimensional stitching you can feel — not a sticker, not a flat screen of ink pretending to be thread. Every BBH hat uses 3D puff embroidery (Spanish: bordado 3D en relieve / puff).
Here's how it shows up on each hat:
- Total Black Edition — 3D puff BB logo in black thread, outlined in black rhinestones; rhinestone starbursts; rhinestone-studded brim; silver rhinestone BB on the back; black-on-black embroidered under brim.
- Golden Halo — 3D puff embroidery in red and gold thread (red “A” and gold halo); black embroidered wings; gold suede under brim with 3D puff-embroidered name; gold BB embroidery on the back.
- LA - Medellin — bold 3D puff embroidery in red thread on the front with rhinestone accents; 2D embroidery on the side panel (per product page).
- Pink Dragon — mix of 2D and 3D puff embroidery on the front lettering (raised, textured look).
- BB Cream & Red — 3D puff-embroidered front logo and 3D puff-embroidered side panel design.
Five quality checks before you buy any embroidered snapback
1. Raise and shadow
Tilt the hat under light. Raised embroidery casts a small shadow. Flat work looks painted on.
2. Edge cleanliness
Look at the outline of letters and icons. Clean edges signal care. Fuzzy, loose loops signal rush.
3. Under-brim finishing
A lot of cheap hats ignore the underside. Our product pages call out under-brim work where it exists — black suede (LA - Medellin, Pink Dragon), cream suede (BB Cream & Red), gold suede (Golden Halo), black-on-black embroidery (Total Black). That’s part of not cutting corners.
4. Back and lining details
Check the back mark and lining. Total Black carries a silver rhinestone BB emblem and BB-print lining. Golden Halo carries gold BB embroidery and gold BB-print lining. Details in places people forget are a good sign.
5. Honesty in the product story
If a brand says “limited,” it should say how. Total Black Edition is a limited edition of 100, each individually numbered — that’s on the product page. We won’t fake scarcity language like “only a few left” on a blog.

Why Los Brim Bros obsesses over embroidery
Two brothers. One diamond — B◆B. We’re building a community that can feel the difference between a corner-cut hat and one that was finished on purpose.
Streetwear moves fast. Quality still shows up slow: in the photo close-up, in the hand, in the year-two wear. That’s the standard we want on every embroidered snapback that carries our name.

FAQ — embroidered snapback quality
Is all embroidery “3D”?
Industry-wide, flat embroidery is still embroidery — lower profile. On Brim Brothers Hats, every style uses 3D puff embroidery (raised height you can feel). Some product pages also note 2D side work alongside the puff.
Do you use rhinestones on every hat?
No. Rhinestone detailing is called out on products that have it (for example, Total Black Edition and LA - Medellin). Don’t assume every style includes them.
What’s a trucker snapback in your lineup?
Golden Halo — white front, black mesh trucker back, adjustable snapback, with 3D puff-embroidered front artwork in red and gold thread. That’s the fit for people searching trucker snapback hats who still want embroidery-first craft.
What size are Brim Brothers hats?
One size fits most, adjustable snapback. (ES: Talla única, ajustable con snapback.) We currently make snapbacks only; fitted styles may come in the future — no date promised.
How should I clean an embroidered hat?
Hat Care
Spot clean gently with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Don't machine wash, soak, bleach, or use harsh cleaners.
Air dry naturally; keep away from dryers and direct heat.
Store in a cool, dry place and avoid crushing the crown.
For rhinestone or embroidered details, clean carefully without scrubbing.
